Congratulations to ARTELIA Suisse SA, with significant contribution from Nino Rohrbach, on the completion of the project.
The construction of this petrol station is characterised by its particularly sustainable design. Nino’s roots lie in the timber construction industry. His love for this material enabled him to convince our customer Shell to deviate from conventional steel construction methods. Instead, he opted to use timber as the main component for the construction of the roofs, exterior and interior walls, as well as a flat roof construction with a solid timber ceiling.
🥳🌏 As a result, the project was even awarded a sustainability prize 🌎🥳
Congratulations on this award, Nino. Thanks to your perseverance, Artelia is once again in the spotlight for sustainable construction.
The CO2 Institute is managed by the Swiss Association for Certified Quality Buildings (VGQ) and calculated that the use of wood in this petrol station construction has permanently removed a total of
98 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere and will continue to do so.
This shows once again that expertise, passion, courage and the ability to think innovatively are not just words in our ARTELIA values, but are also put into practice. The result of this leads to great projects that Artelia can be proud of.
