Hydrogen Lab – Bremerhaven

The Hydrogen Lab Bremerhaven is a major project in German hydrogen research. It creates a state-of-the-art research complex for testing innovative technologies for hydrogen production and use. The facility promotes cooperation between industry, research and politics and supports the use of hydrogen as a clean energy source. With a capacity of ten megawatts, it offers test environments for the entire hydrogen production value chain.

Artelia played a key role in the design of the project, the preparation of permitting documents and permit management, implementation planning and procurement to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while allowing flexibility for the testing of innovative products. Throughout the construction phase, Artelia took charge of construction management and seamlessly integrated the test field into the existing infrastructure of the former airport. Professional collaboration, characterised by commitment and precision, was a key factor in the success of this project.
