LNG Infrastruktur Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU)

In Brunsbüttel on the mouth of the Elbe, an FSRU was set up in collaboration with the port infrastructure operator. Due to the urgency of the project, it was implemented in several phases.

Artelia took the lead in implementing all the necessary permitting procedures, including the new operational permit for the FSRU. Managing all the expert reports required for such a project was a particularly challenging task. Combining the FSRU with the existing port infrastructure was uncharted territory for many of those involved in the project and required tailor-made solutions. Thanks to Artelia’s expertise and commitment, all the necessary permits were successfully obtained and the complex requirements were met.

Artelia was also responsible for the correct documentation of all components and their examination during commissioning.
